Fort Worth, Texas — February 27, 2026 — BettrAi, a healthcare technology company focused on delivering AI-enabled solutions that improve care outcomes and reduce avoidable utilization, today announced the appointment of Michael Knowles as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1.
Knowles brings more than 30 years of experience leading and scaling healthcare technology organizations across payers, PBMs, Blues plans, and value-based care enterprises. Throughout his career, he has built enterprise go-to-market strategies in complex, highly regulated markets and developed durable revenue engines that support long-term growth.
Prior to joining BettrAi, Knowles served in executive leadership roles at healthcare SaaS and digital health companies, partnering closely with boards and founders to define strategy, align product and commercial execution, and accelerate expansion. Most recently, as Chief Growth Officer at Banjo Health, he established the company’s commercial foundation, secured its first enterprise customers, and positioned the platform for scalable growth.
“Mike’s experience building disciplined, growth-oriented healthcare technology organizations makes him the right leader for our company at this pivotal stage,” said Scott Birdwell, Founder and Chairman of BettrAi. “He understands how to translate innovation into measurable impact for customers, and he brings the operational rigor needed to scale.”
Scott added, “Healthcare organizations today are looking for partners—not just vendors—who can integrate into their workflows, align with their clinical and operational goals, and deliver measurable outcomes. Mike understands how to build those partnerships at scale. His leadership will help us deepen our relationships with health systems and care organizations, and ensure we are delivering solutions that are both practical to implement and impactful in improving patient outcomes.”
Known for combining strategic clarity with operational execution, Knowles has extensive experience building leadership teams, aligning cross-functional organizations, and converting clinical and analytical innovation into measurable business outcomes. His career includes leading U.S. and international market expansion efforts and working with some of the largest healthcare enterprises and government organizations.
Knowles holds an MBA from Southern Connecticut State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
“I want to thank the Board and leadership at BettrAi for placing their trust in me,” said Knowles. “BettrAi is uniquely positioned to redefine how healthcare organizations leverage AI to drive smarter outcomes. From day one, my focus will be on accelerating innovation, strengthening customer trust, and expanding our market leadership. We will move fast, stay customer-obsessed, and build technology that sets a new standard for intelligence and impact.”
Knowles’ appointment marks the beginning of BettrAi’s next phase of disciplined growth, focused on expanding strategic partnerships and delivering scalable, AI-driven solutions that support proactive, connected care.
